A Photo That Means So Much More

This photo just came in the mail—and it stopped me for a moment.

Not because it’s perfect, but because of what it represents.

It represents showing up.It represents using our voices. It represents advocating for families like ours.

In this moment, we were standing with Senator Todd Young, talking about the real needs facing individuals with Fragile X and their families. But what you don’t see in this picture is everything happening around it—the ongoing conversations, the planning, and the commitment to keep pushing forward.

Because this work is continuing.

On March 23, we met with staff from Senator Jim Banks’ office—continuing to build relationships and share the urgent needs facing families across Indiana. (Senator Banks has served in the U.S. Senate since 2025, representing Indiana alongside Senator Young.)

On March 31, we will meet with staff from Senator Todd Young’s office to keep these conversations moving forward.

And on April 1, we’ll be meeting with the Mayor of Fort Wayne to talk about the needs right here at home—because while national advocacy matters, real change also has to happen locally.

These meetings are about more than awareness. They are about:

  • Increasing support and funding for Fragile X research

  • Expanding services for families in Indiana

  • Addressing gaps in care right here in Fort Wayne

  • Creating real opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities

Every meeting is a step forward. Every conversation matters.

Because behind all of this—behind every meeting, every photo, every ask—are families like ours.

Through Solomon’s Strength Foundation, we will keep showing up. At the state level. At the federal level. And right here in our community.

This photo may have just arrived in the mail—but the work it represents is just getting started.

Raising Strength. Inspiring Hope.
