With backgrounds in education, finance, business, and community engagement, the board provides strong leadership, oversight, and accountability while working to expand support for individuals and families impacted by Fragile X Syndrome, autism, and developmental disabilities.
Alison Prather
Founder & President
Alison Prather, Solomon’s mother, founded Solomon’s Strength Foundation to turn her family’s journey into meaningful support for others. She is deeply committed to advocating for individuals and families impacted by Fragile X Syndrome, autism, and developmental disabilities. Alison also serves as a middle school special education teacher in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where she focuses on helping students grow in independence and confidence.
Dylan Prather
Founder & Vice President
Dylan Prather, Solomon’s father, co-founded Solomon’s Strength Foundation with a vision of building stronger support systems for families facing similar challenges. He is dedicated to advancing awareness and resources for individuals impacted by Fragile X Syndrome, autism, and developmental disabilities. Dylan works for NiSource and focuses on strengthening community partnerships that support the foundation’s mission.
Melissa Gael
Secretary
Melissa Gael is a long-time friend of the Prather family and a dedicated advocate for the mission of Solomon’s Strength Foundation. She is passionate about supporting individuals and families impacted by Fragile X Syndrome, autism, and developmental disabilities. Melissa works for White Cap and brings strong organization, reliability, and attention to detail to her role as Secretary.
Amanda King
Treasurer
Amanda King is a trusted family friend of over 25 years and a committed supporter of Solomon’s Strength Foundation. She brings a strong financial background and attention to detail to her role as Treasurer. Amanda works for Hylant and plays a key role in ensuring responsible financial oversight for the organization.
Cory Gael
Creative Director
Cory Gael supports Solomon’s Strength Foundation by leading creative direction and helping shape the organization’s visual identity and outreach. He is committed to increasing awareness and connection within the community. Cory works for White Cap and uses his creative expertise to strengthen the foundation’s presence and message.
Rick Shepherd
Director
Rick Shepherd, Solomon’s grandfather, is a dedicated supporter of Solomon’s Strength Foundation and its mission. He values building strong community connections and supporting families navigating complex challenges. Rick is a real estate professional with Mike Thomas Associates and brings years of experience and community involvement to the foundation.
